新型コロナウイルスも、５月より５類の扱いになり、季節性インフルエンザ感染症と基本的に同じ扱いとなりました。いよいよ、世界もアフターコロナに向けて、動き出したように感じます。
小室歯科近鉄あべのハルカス診療所が入居する、あべのハルカス近鉄本店にも、多くのお客さんが戻り、阿倍野周辺にもたくさんの人が訪れるようになりました。
特に最近、海外への往来の規制が大幅に緩和され、たくさんの外国人の方を目にするようになって参りました。ハルカスにも、以前のように、たくさんのお買い物の荷物を持った外国人の方を目にするようになりましたし、駅には、大きなバックパックを担いだ、明らかに関西国際空港からの旅行者の方も、たくさん目にするようになりました。まだまだ、以前と違い、欧米人や、東南アジアの方が中心で、中国の方の比率が少ないような気がしますが、それでも、百貨店の売り上げも、インバウンド需要のおかげで大幅に増加しているようです。
当院では、理事長の小室暁先生と、小室渡先生が英語を話すことができ、小室渡先生は、ドイツへの留学経験を生かし、ドイツ語も話せますので、以前から、外国からの患者様を多く受け入れてきました。
医院には、外国からの患者さん用の、英語による問診票を完備し、できるだけ患者さんに不安のないように治療を受けていただくため、努力をしています。
コロナの間、外国人の患者様は少なかったのですが、ここ数か月、外国人の患者さんが増えてきています。この1ヵ月だけでも、アメリカ、ドイツ、オランダ、中国など、いろいろな国の出身の患者様の治療をさせていただきました。
先日も、アメリカのボストン出身の患者様がお見えになり、理事長が、コロナ前に毎年デジタル歯科の勉強しに通っていたボストンの街並みの話や、ボストンレッドソックスの話で、盛り上がりました。
小室歯科近鉄あべのハルカス診療所は、積極的に海外研修に行き、海外から文献を取り寄せ、世界中から最新の知識を得るように常に努力しています。いよいよ、歯科の技術研鑽も、患者さんの交流も含め、グローバルに活動を再開したいと思っています。

The COVID-19 has been treated as the category 5 disease since May, essentially the same as seasonal influenza infections. It seems that the world is finally moving toward post-covid.

Many customers have returned to the Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store, where the Komuro Dental Clinic Kintetsu Abeno Harukas is located, and many people are now visiting the Abeno area.
In particular, recently, the restrictions on foreign visitors have been greatly decreased, and we can see many foreign visitors in Abeno Harukas. At Harukas, as in the past, we can see many foreigners with their shopping bags, and at the station, we can see many tourists carrying large backpacks, obviously from Kansai International Airport. Unlike before, the majority are still from Europe, the U.S., and Southeast Asia, with a smaller percentage from China, but even so, sales at department stores seem to be increasing significantly thanks to inbound demand.
At our clinic, Dr. Akira Komuro and Dr. Wataru Komuro speak English, and Dr. Wataru Komuro also speaks German, having studied abroad in Germany. So, we have been accepting many patients from abroad for a long time.
The clinic is equipped with a medical questionnaire in English for foreign patients, and every effort is made to ensure that patients receive treatment with as little anxiety as possible.
During the COVID-19, we had few foreign patients, but in the past few months, the patients from foreign patients are greatly increasing. In April, we have treated patients from many different countries, including the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, and China.
The other day, a patient from Boston, U.S.A., came to see us, and we had a great time talking about the Boston Red Sox and the cityscape of Boston, where Dr. Akira Komuro used to go every year to study digital dentistry before Corona.
Komuro Dental Clinic Kintetsu Abeno Harukas is always striving to obtain the latest knowledge from all over the world by actively going abroad for training and reading literature from overseas. Finally, we would like to resume our global activities, both in the study of dental techniques and in the treatment of patients.
